The goal of our Pre – K program is kindergarten readiness.  We have chosen Pinnacle Pre- K curriculum which is a developmental hands -on curriculum.  This provides an appropriate developmental continuum throughout the school.  Weekly and monthly themes are also used in Pre-K and while many of these themes will seem familiar, projects and activities will be different and and appropriately challenging for our Pre-K students.  During each week the teachers continue to address all areas of development; social/emotional, cognitive, language, large and small motor skills.  Throughout the school year our Pre-K students are encouraged to learn new self-help and social skills, think for themselves, make choices, experiment, explore and have a lot of fun.  We want them to finish their Pre-K year with us, not only ready for elementary school, but also as enthusiastic lifetime learners.

Our Pre-K program is designed to meet the learning needs of 4 and 5 year old children.  It is the final step on our 5 year integrated learning system.  Especially in the final year, the goal is to introduce activities and experiences that will ensure your child will make a successful transition to Kindergarten.  Our Pre-K teachers and staff consult and work in conjunction with the school district Kindergarten staff that our Pre-K children will be attending to be sure we are providing the skills and knowledge required to make the transition to Kindergarten an effortless natural step in your child’s school career.
